All this complaining and Obama care has not even started. Not one thing has changed and you are so sure it’s a mistake. The mistake is a 21 year old girl who came into Providence Hospital in Everett. She had stage 4 cancer. No insurance, no job, no parents and no money. She was treated because that’s what hospitals with a heart do. Then a month later, 2 million dollars worth of care she passes away. Now if she had come in at 18 when the first symptomshowed up she would be alive and well because she had Breast Cancer and it’s curable in early stages. She would not have spent near the amount of money that was needed at the end and she would be alive to be a productive member of society. The hospital would not have to pass that fee on to all of us and loose money in the process. Yeah for the “Liberals” who want this and who will not be intimidated by the few selfish Republicans and Tea Party members who do not care about human life after it’s out of the womb.

I’m a mom who asked for a few things from my kids. I asked them not to smoke (my grandfather died of lung cancer at 53), to choose a college in State (we can’t afford triple the tuition for 5 kids), no piercings or tattoo’s (my husband is a family practice Dr, and you do not hear about the horrors of piercings gone wrong, loosing an ear etc or tattoo’s that get infected). Now as young adults all of my kids at one time or another told me they are so happy they did not tattoo their body. I see people my age with tattoo’s that are just sad. I always wonder if people remember that over time your body does not stay the same, it sags, droops and wrinkles. My favorite stories are my niece who pierced her belly button and then had two children. She did the nicest thing and showed all the girl cousins what it looked like. Awful. Then a girlfriend of my daughter had a saying written on her arm. The tattoo artist was not a good speller. Now for the rest of her life she has that showing. Last story, a friend of my youngest son’s mom died when he was nine. His Dad was a creep and his grandma (mom’s mom) took him to get a tattoo of his mom’s name on his shoulder. He was nine. He grew, very large. At 320 pounds his mom’s name is unreadable. Sloppy and sad. If you must tattoo, do the temporary kind. That way you do not have to hide your body parts that look horrible.

Remember the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over again and expecting different results. The NRA is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. No. We will have more and more senseless shootings and nothing will be done. Because the NRA has all their money in the Republican Senators pockets. We the people are insane believing that our Government will do anything to help us with this issue.

As a Boy Scout Leader for three boys from Grade 1 to Eagle Scout, how dare you!!!!!!! When boys are in the Boy Scouts they are the leaders of their troops. You obviously have no clue how the Scouts work. The boys are patrol leaders and they make all the decisions about how to earn money, what to work on and how to go about it. Parents are there as a sounding board. Gay, Lesbian, Straight whatever has nothing to do with what the boys choose to work on. The guidelines for Eagle Scout are very clear. Earn a specific number of achievements and raise in rank. Scouts are a great way for kids to have friends and learn things that may not be in their parents wheelhouse. Our Pack and Troop have passed many boys to Eagle Scouts and I have to say I would follow them to the ends of the earth. They are truly people who care and who value education of all sorts. Bad mouthing the boys and us, their parent leaders is just wrong and I’m sad that you, fellow readers choose to use your free speech to put people down.

Oh and by the way, my oldest Eagle Scout son is not only working at Boeing but he volunteers his free time as a search and rescue lead and he is learning how to track. Saving people like you who bad mouth everything and anything from your own stupidity out in the world.

My Bachelors Degree in 1983 cost me cash waiting tables and babysitting $18,000.00 for 5 years. (I had to work during school). My husbands Bachelors degree was $21,000.00 at 4%. His Physicians Assistant Degree PA was one year at $10,000.00. His Doctorate was $300,000.00 for 7 years and it took us 15 years paying extra every April to pay it back. Now he has worked 20 years and our kids (5) are in varying stages of education. My 28 year old payed for his Bachelors Degree from the UW at $55,000.00 Then went to work for Boeing and they are paying for his Masters. My 25 year old has been in school for 7 years has two degrees and has paid cash for all of it. He works on Computers and has his degree’s in computers. My 22 year old daughter has 4 years towards a Doctorate. She is in debt $92,000.00 so far and has decided to get through school and just pay back her loans while she is working as a Dr. My twins, one special needs is 19 and gets another 2 years as a super senior in the K-12 system. Her brother spent one year earning money as a grease monkey to earn money to go to a Community College. Because he can’t qualify for any loans because he lives with us and my husband has an income. What I’m saying is, there are many ways to get through school. It’s not a free ride and everyone should remember that the loan companies that support the schooling of our nation are a business and do not owe us anything.

Now that said, my husbands Doctorate Degree is ours. We paid for it, we earned it and now we won’t get paid for it.I think we should all take a lesson, go into banking, it does not cost much for a degree and you get to screw people all the time and make millions while you do it. If you are a Dr. you are now going to be giving your time and experience away. Kid’s don’t go into medicine.

Just FYI, a cut to special needs kids has come due to the sequester. That in plain English means the kids who are in K-12 in our state have to start taking CT (Community Transit), Dart or walk to school. In my daughters case. That’s a 10 block walk on a road under construction. A 1 hour and 9 minute bus ride to a park and ride. Wait 15 minutes take another bus 10 minutes then cross a busy street and climb 121 stairs to school. Because it will takeso long for all the kids (special needs kids) to get to school they are going to have a slow start. 7:30 to 9:30 quiet reading time. They will then do that in reverse to get home. Did I mention that these are the 60 plus special needs kids? The Republican senators who voted not to work with my Democratic senator to make a reasonable budget should get voted out and should have to spend this much time and effort to get to work.

Dtroutma… It’s the NRA using the funds from all it’s members that stopped this legislation.

If you want to blame it on the “NRA leadership” you better understand, they are saying their membership want’s encourages and pays for this stand against reasonable sales methods, by your NRA membership dues.If you are a member, you paid for this. The only way to stop this is for all the NRA members to quit the NRA.

Ms. Ima, obviously you have never had a member of your family or circle of friends killed by a gun. When that happens you can spout your ignorance. I’m a liberal (dictionary definition, favorable to progress or reform) and it’s obvious you are not a liberal. Nor are you ready to actually speak of truth in relationship to mass safety.

Everyone listen, the baby boomers are the biggest generation we have ever had. They are retiring and that is the expense or SPENDING we are doing now.
