I was living in San Antonio when they built the Alamo Dome. Their research told them that women should have twice the number of restroom slots as men in order to serve them properly.
Having learned my backetball in the 1950’s in Indiana, I completely agree with the point raised by today’s strip. I include one more observation about things no longer ruled the same way: what constitutes one’s pivot foot. In the old days, if one received the ball while both feet were in the air, the FIRST foot that landed on the floor was the pivot foot (not the second). If one wished to choose which foot was to be the pivot foot, one had to land with both feet simultaneously.
What interesting to me is that most of these rule interpretation changes appear in both pros and college. I guess that street ball has had its effect.
