Obama isn’t even close to being a socialist, he’s one of the most moderate Democrats there is. Just compare what Obama proposes to Bernie Sanders (whom I understand doesn’t mind being called a socialist).Further, Obama never had a filibuster-proof Senate with the exception of two months, which is hardly enough time to get legislation passed. If Obama had such a Congress/Senate, he could have used the money to really make some good changes. Too bad the Republican minority blocked virtually every chance of this country really pulling out of the recession in their drive to oppose anything and everything Obama does.
