One reason I think Luann and Shannon have done so well up until this point is because Luann treated her with kindness. This child is very familiar with condescending tones and being scolded; I wouldn’t be surprised if she acts the way she does in part because of it. What this child needs is loving boundaries, not yelling and threats. I am a little disappointed in Luann because I thought she realized this. Now she has succumbed to name calling and screaming, which no child needs…
I’m not so angry at Brad here as I am at Toni. Perhaps he’s not the brightest, but least he tried, right? I understand that she’s had a shady dating past and has some serious commitment issues she needs to work out… but to make Brad go through all of that pain with her is selfish and wrong. He deserves to be with someone who is ready to take the same steps he wants (or needs) to take. I hope they are able to resolve this, but the ball is in Toni’s court and she needs to take action fast or else she’ll lose Brad forever.
I’m pretty nervous about this. TJ makes a valid point, but that doesn’t mean that Brad has to go along with the whole plan…. whatever happens, if they break up, to say I’d be peeved and sad would be an understatement.
Wow. I love this comic because of days like today. Teens actually thinking through their lives and decisions, trying to find who they are and what they are capable of. This is why Luann is so great.
Hot and black? I was afraid you or some others might say the version I heard a few years ago, “ground up and in the freezer.”
