The chanterelle mushrooms this year have been incredible, and if that is what they are referring to as the “locally foraged fare”, my six year old would love to eat there!
@Dani Rice: When I was finishing middle school my brother (who is six years older) told me “it just gets better”. Those words have stuck with me. There were plenty of hard times, but his encouraging words have turned out to be very true for the 20 years since then.
Considering that many pet stores sell Procambrus clarksii crawdads as pets I have to agree with Alix that bringing it home was a lot less of an issue than releasing it in the creek, and releasing it was entirely Evie’s idea.
