   I am so disappointed in the new artist. The last few strips from the previous artist (when he showed his ability to create more realistic images) were the perfect fit for a cartoon strip of this nature. The current style just does not fit. Of course I’ve been reading Gil Thorp since 1964 so what do I know.

   Fell asleep one night on the couch and Joe’s Apartment was on when I woke up. At first I thought I was still dreaming. First thing I thought of when I saw this comic today

   Ralph was my wife’s uncle and one of the winningest high school coaches in Virginia history. I think around May 20th is when school got out back then. There are two other kids in the family not born on that day – but they get cakes too so they won’t feel left out.
