Just to clarify, I am the father of a vicious sexual assault victim. There is no justification for sexual assault. That is not what this or my earlier comment are about or intend to do.
personally, I support a woman’s right to wear what ever she wants wherever she wants. That said, consider this.
Your clothes are a form of self expression and of communication. They tell the world who you are and how you expect it to treat you. That is why lawyers and doctors and executives wear suits. It says I am a serious person and should be treated seriously.
The problem with this particular form of self expression is that it is a broadcast type of medium. The communicator has no ability to select her audience so sometimes her message is received by an unwelcome audience. That is what happened here. Tiffany broadcast flirty, sensual person inviting sexual attention and an unintended audience member (creep) received that message and acted on it.
This is the message that needs to be sent to all people, consider your audience when deciding on what you wear. What is perfectly appropriate in one situation may be completely inappropriate in another. If you dress like you are attracted to your audience you probably shouldn’t complain when the audience accepts your invitation. If Tiffany dressed like that on a date, ie to a narrower audience, she would not have been as likely to get unwanted attention.
incredible foresight actually.
