JImmy Carter — the man who used the presidency of the U.S. to move on to bigger and more important things. Unfortunately, as long as the U.S. continues to support anything & everything Israel ever does, Carter will not be able to make much progress in the Middle East.

I always thought Jimmy Carter was from Venus, and RR and Menachem B. were from Mars — turns out Menachem threw his “support” to Reagan as he was offended that Jimmy & Anwar Sadat forced him to sign the Camp David agreements, and feared what peace measures he might be forced to undertake if Jimmy got a 2d term. Apparently the Reagan Camp had lots of help in their efforts to undermine the release of the Iranian hostages. Do you suppose Jimmy was channeling Edward 7 in his whole “why can’t we all be friends and get along” approach?

So true re bottled water. And thank God for Turner Classic Movies. Hope you get it in the U.K. — it’s priceless, as the saying goes.

I’m thinking Anne B. needs to be celebrating with her cousin, Catherine Howard. Maybe George Boleyn & Thomas Culpepper should join in, too. And what about that Countess of Salisbury? Weren’t she and Hal “friends” also?

“The guards all think that it’s a football that she carries in, and when she passes by they shout ‘is Army going to win?’ They think that it’s Red Grange instead of poor old Anne Boleyn . . .” Or is that just in the U.S. version?

Saw a great post in reference to someone who had “tebowed” and was carrying on about it. A friend said, “You mean you got your * kicked by Alabama and cried?” For those of us who live in Central Florida and are not part of the self-absorbed “Gator Nation”, this guy wore out his welcome years ago, and wasn’t near the athlete as his one time back-up & later Heisman Trophy winner/Nat’l Champion quarterback Cam Newton. With all this talk of “tebowing” sweeping the country it, brings back memories of a classic Joan Baez song, “With God on Our Side”.
