Im soo glad I live in Sweden! Totally free education (In my case 3 years ingeneer, think it is translated to bachelor degree) and you can get a student loan for your living costs. Of course, the price is a lot of taxes… But we also got ok health care for almost free. Let se how long that last, because “everyone” have started to think it is better “to leave it to the market”
Yes, in sweden we traditionally have what is scalled the “factory/industri vacation” A LOT is shut down in the middle of july and 4 weeks forward. This year I had 4 weeks in the summer and when hollidays is combined whith some vacation, I will have 17 days in a row free for Christmas :)(Law gives everyone 25 days at least for vacation. Some get more)
Weell. not exactly in Sweden. Everybody will be called to a meeting to see if you are fit. But today they only have about 10% of the population of the right age to serve. So you usually only need to show that you really dont want to and then you dont need to do it. But now it is the same for both men and women. Not so when I was younger, so as a woman I was never called. On the other hand we havent had any war here in like 200 years.
Yeah, I AM from Sweden and even if I know that certain objects are named after cities, other after common names and other after certain groups of words it still doesnt make much sense. Even if you know what all the words usually mean…
Just check statistics. Depending on which year, Sweden has about 1 homicide per 100.000 citizen a bad year. Compared to about 5 per 100.000 in the US. I have checked several sources. We have some hunting weapons, but all other weapons are really regulated. (are still illegal ones, but at least not as many weapons over all.) And oh yes, a lot of taxes, that actually pays almost decent health care for all and support when you lose your job. And free education, even university :)
Oh, he clearly UNDERSTANDS the language. I wonder if he just dont has the equipment to actually form words! (Does a mute or deaf person need to fix the language?)
When I became 18… Before that they were too expensive if you were still in school. (1999) Yes, I know Im ooold.
