    Um, the point of the editorial is they are all playing from the same script. It was a game of disastrous musical chairs and anyone of them could have been in the hot-seat. BP just drew the short straw. Bottom-line, great technical advances for drilling, zero technical advancement for safety and clean-up.

    This is what happens when the government is bought and paid for by big corporations, no over-sight, no safety and no one looking out for the individual tax payer anymore. Get the money out of politics, period. No money, no “favors” and no more deaths due to lack of safety.

    It’s not a matter of just “throw the bums out” it is a matter of throw the lobbyist out, throw the money out so when you go to vote for someone, you aren’t just voting for the best and most expensive ad campaign. That’s what we have now and that’s why we have no true leaders, because they are waiting to see which way the money is coming in, period. This is a sad, sad time for American politics.
