My experience is regardless of how good or bad a man is at being a father, his daughters have a special place in his heat and he wouldn’t step back like this.

Then he would do it personally and not through a proxy.

What father would treat their daughter like this? She’s always daddy’s little princess. The whole storyline doesn’t make sense.

Does it seem to anyone else like Tiffany has lost weight as the week has progressed? The last panel looks a lot like “old” Tiffany to me.

It is an obvious set up for a #MeToo plot line but given that he has avoided sex like a plague (because of syndicators?) this would be a near impossible topic to do justice to. We’ll see.

@TiarellaClark Honestly, at this point it’s fraid-not, fraid-so. What I will say is that my career exposes me to a wide variety of colleges and universities and the overwhelming sexuality of American colleges is one of the very few constants I’ve found. There are differences in universities but to have multiple college students at two different universities, none of whom are having sexually-related issues just doesn’t ring true to me.

@TiarellaClark I wish that were true. Truly. But I’m very experienced with college. Even those who seek intellectual growth have to deal with rampant sexuality everywhere they go.
Put it this way: you want to study for an exam. Unfortunately, your drunk roommate is in your room with a hookup. There are other — even less appealing — examples. You simply can’t avoid it.

I looked up the interview. That’s actually not exactly what he said. He said papers will just end the strip, not the syndicate. But he also said he avoids politics, sex, and religion in his comics.
It’s an issue because it means he’s necessarily avoiding the single most significant piece of college life. The “naked” storyline just didn’t ring true as a result. Sex and nudity flood colleges — she would have had to confront the idea before seeing Jack. Trying to do a “reality” strip but focus on a sexless college experience has really boxed them in.

Weird how quickly “posing nude” was dropped.
Like I said yesterday, I don’t know a single father who would act this way towards his daughter. It doesn’t ring true.
