I remember sending off rolls to be developed (try telling that to the iphone generation). They were of my Nan’s 80th birthday. The photo’s I got back were a fat couple on vacation in Canada.

Frankly I think it the fault of your fore fathers. If they had ignored those pesky upstarts who demanded independence you could all have remained part the British Empire/Commonwealth.That way you would have free heath care, no stupid gun laws…or the NRA, cricket, cheese beer and tea that has taste, a genuine multi party democracy that is (almost) corruption free. Slavery would have ended sooner. No need for capital punishment ( no guns = almost no murders) and most of the world would still like you.But it’s all too late now as even if you ask nicely we won’t have you back.

Here in the UK if I need a lipid test it is ….FREE. If i need a prescription it is just £8 ($13.50) no mater what medication I need. Sure i may have to wait a week to get the test done and a month to see a consultant but my level of health care has nothing to do with my credit rating.

For what it’s worth the UK minimum wage works out at $9.50 if you are 21+. The average UK worker on minimum wage does a 52 hour week.

I live in the UK and our healthcare system is fantastic. It is not perfect and sadly a few rare cases have seen people die. But that was down to to human error and had nothing to do with their ability to pay. From an infected cut on your finger to a heart triple bypass it is all paid for by our taxes and not by a for profit insurance company.

Why is a one eyed man driving in the first place? Is that legal in most US states?
