    YES

Don’t drink lite beers, period. Living here in Hawaii I prefer local brands. Kona Brewery mainly, although Big Island has some pretty decent choices.

As the saying goes, life is stranger than fiction…

Actually, many right wing Republicans in the 50’s felt Ike wasn’t really a republican. Which I always found strange. Ford could have been ok, if he had been allowed to run. I voted for Carter.

    Nicely said!

Sorry – if you think that about was is shaping up to be a fascist attack on our schools, you have lost touch…

RFK’s assassination kinda put on cap for me on how bad the ’60’s were (I was in HS and college that decade). I was looking forward to voting for him — it ended up being a few years later before I felt it worth bothering…

Personally, I blame Reagan and Gingrich. Reagan destroyed a number of programs and skewed the tax system even more to the oligarchs, and Gingrich started the “destroy the federal government from the inside” that the GOP now fully embraces.

Not exactly. Congress passes appropriations to fund the government, and it is the responsibility of the Executive branch to disburse those funds. Biden is doing his job.

  10. about 1 year ago on Mike Luckovich

Yeah – name one Republican administration in the last 40 years that actually governed.
