McConnell and Newt Gingrich took care of the vitriol and open hatred. The Bush clan took care of the dark machinations in the background with the Kochs et al.The Dems are guilty of bringing a pen knife to a gun fight. That is, when they show up to fight at all.

Wow. Tell that to my grandfather who fought in WWII and saw 17-year old boy soldiers with their guts hanging out crying for their mothers before they died. Nazis are bad. Racists are bad. Bigots, misogynists, all bad.

So women should shut up and put up? So they can ‘get a man?’I don’t determine people’s worth by their marriages (or lack thereof). Why should anybody marry a person whose output they don’t like? Better to be single than to settle for someone with whom one is not in sync.

I believe there’s much more at play. Voter suppression, for one. We know that the GOP at a local level make it harder for minorities to vote, as they are trying right now in Georgia by closing polling stations in minority population districts. In 2016 there were also voting irregularities in Detroit (heavy Clinton territory), as well as vote count discrepancies in Wisconsin. And never mind states like PA where we’ll never know for sure whether hackers helped Trump’s vote count, because there isn’t even a paper audit trail. They, didn’t even have to hack a lot of machines, just a handful in toss-up state areas with heavy Clinton turnout. Change some votes, discard some votes, boom, Trump “wins.”At DEFCON this year there were little kids hacking remotely into vote counting servers and altering election results. Here in WA state we have mail-in paper ballots, as every state should. Nothing’s perfect, but this is close.

@SteveC1 And then taxpayers are on the hook for failed businesses, such as Mike Pence’s failed gas station. It required a 21 million dollar environmental cleanup paid for by the taxpayer.

Every country has about a third of these kinds of people. That’s why it’s so important that everybody votes. It’s the only way to make sure the sane majority rules.

Are treason and money-laundering for the Russian mob white collar crimes? I’d rather my taxes go to pay for Donnie’s cell in one of our supermax prisons than his golf weekends and ego-rallies.

William, If you don’t enjoy the comic and/or comments then don’t read the comic and/or comments. Plenty of other options out there that may be more to your liking.

The only way to fight the gerrymandering and voter suppression is to bring out everyone to vote. Volunteer to take people to the polls and go out and register them. The reasonable people are the majority and can fight this, even if – for the moment – our votes count for less.
