I had a co-worker who started out his jokes with “True Story”. While it telegraphed that he was telling a joke, it did not give away the punch line. And he told some pretty funny jokes.
Is it me, or does Quill communicating with these 2 rivals make me think he is enjoying the drama between them? Maybe he’s not such a great guy after all. Pretty sure if Luann were my daughter, I would be pointing out this boy’s immature behavior, and cautioning her to BE CAREFUL!
It’s been 20, er, 30 years since I first read this, but I am pretty sure that this strip got me kicked out of the school library. Out and out uncontrolable laughter followed but the giggling tremors that never quite end. Poor librarians! It has me giggling today!
I’m self-employed, thank God. I had a community theater role last winter that required huge Mutton chops. Hideous! But fun for a time. I say Calvin’s dad should go for it and see what happens! He might have some fun at work for a change!
Clearly Ms Wormwood’s powers are “Distraction” and “Reason”. She has used both to successfully astound Stupendous Man, which has allowed him to fall into her clutches whereby she will deliver him to a most horrible fate: The Principle’s Office! Let the torture begin! Oh! Agonies galor!
