   I had a $50 Chevy Citation, neighbor down the street just wanted to get rid of it. Had some rear corner damage and a few other issues but was quite driveable.

   I’ve got a cat that religiously uses her scratching post. I also have one that uses the loveseat, another that uses the back of my computer chair, and another that uses the mat in front of the kitchen sink.

   I grew up in northern Idaho just five miles west of the Montana line, where it was an hour later. There was a tavern at the border on the MT side, so it was possible to celebrate there for a half hour, run back into ID to the Moyie Club ten miles distant and do it all over again.

   I let a stack of those “buy your house” postcards pile up, write ‘Refused’ in Sharpie across my address and send them back.

   It’s kinda like when you buy a dvd recorder and go to set it up and the instructions are on….a dvd.

    I don’t know if it’s just an Oregon thing, but see if there is a Repair Fair event near you. People can bring stuff in and volunteers will try and fix them. We’ve got one at the end of the month here in Salem.
