Lock the front door to keep strangers out. Leave the back door unlocked in case a neighbor needs to get in. Got an apple pie that way.

We also used to get chicken feed in bags with print patterns on them. Save enough of one kind for dresses and shirts, The pattern was washable and the the feed mill label would wash out of the fabric. Now everything is plastic.
Then everyone gets to remember what the gift was last year, and the year before, and the year before. The paper shrinks, but the memories grow.
Clean the receipts out once a year when the accountant needs them to figure out the taxes.
Keep them on a leash,take them off to sleep and shower and never wonder again. Or do as my sister does and have a half dozen pairs all over the place.
