   “You may be annoyed, if someone fishes for compliments…. but the congratulations for questioning allures, is ‘complimenting’, for fishies”.

   I half agree. Gunther has been depicted as deliberately overcalculating, inflexible, apron stringed, easily agitated over the slightest imperfection, starched-in-the-collar…showing contempt for the less calculus-minded… uh, what was I saying? -Oh… right. Yes, he’s been all of those things, but he has also showed sweetness with Rosa (backpack swings), concern for Tiffany (crying shoulders and Star Trek marathons and all), and warned Luann when Tiffany was coming on to Quill at Drama camp, helped her when Miguel tried to get agressive with her… and Luann has shown some teen shallowness and ‘chaoticness’ and lots of drama at times, but with that party Tara took them to, Luann showed that at heart, she’s a ‘simple girl’, with simple tastes. She tried to be supportive of Tiffany during her depression, as well, despite their differences.

   -

   I’d very much rather see other relationship combos, myself, but this possibility strikes me as a “Kevin and Winnie” dynamic… the constant ‘will they/won’t they’ and ‘on again/off again’ dynamic. I’m not for L&G at all, but it would make for some “Wonder Years” moments, with their vacillating between “Aww!” and “Awkward!!!”, in its’ (potential) duration…

    I always thought the Quill relationship was one that was of the forced kind….lots of people liked it, though, because he was all “tall and handsome”…but there was never any development of it… it was “already decided”, as soon as he appeared. Tiffany wasn’t even any competition. Neither had to “win” the other. And in the duration of their official coupleness, it was all ‘kisses and hugs’, but little compromise in their disagreements, except in maybe one or two.

    I guess, in a way, L&G would seem forced, when so many were swayed toward Jack, and the teasing of Tiff and Gunther, and because after all this time, Luann had him squarely in the middle of ‘the friend zone’. But on the flip side, I guess it’s also because they’ve had so long a history, GnK may feel it’s a possibility, eventually.

    But I’m still bummed that ‘Gunths and Rosas’ broke up, myself….
