I rarely, if ever, comment on political issues but I must compliment you on picking up on the hypocrisy of pointing the finger for one thing, and basically doing the same assuming nobody will notice. In our current political climate, there does seem to be a lot of ‘when they do it it’s bad, when we do it, it’s fine.’

This is a difficult debate to capture well with pen and ink. Your line says it masterfully.

Never thought of it this way. It’s so true. In a modern world, we could also add: “Lies give hope, truth scares.” Obviously, I disagree, but it does reflect some people’s current rose-tinted reality.

I don’t know if Cathy gets these comments, but if you do Cathy, 1) don’t stop this series quite yet, it is so inspiring, 2) I would love to see a full series displayed somewhere some day, they are very powerful reminders of the good side of humanity, vs. the evil reality of unspeakable tyranny, and 3) I hope that this series has reason to end soon indicating the end of the conflict. Let us all take away the need to be better people.

This is turning out to be Cathy’s best series ever.

This image is so poignant. It reflects the pain those mothers and children must be feeling. I/we feel so helpless.

Keep it up Cathy. I believe that all of your fans are appreciating your Ukrainian lucidity. This war/aggression/folly must end.

Sad times. I know there are copyright issues, but this is one of the better drawings I have seen to sum up our collective international feeling. I’d love for it to become an international symbol – Facebook profile image, etc. Regardless, thank you for this powerful image Cathy.
