   Not Stan Lee. Note the blonde hairs by young Rip and the WW II era flying gear. Its probably supposed to be Terry Lee from Terry and the Pirates. Right Dan?

   Please note the Jan. 7th strip where Blackjack says he is “sweating to death.” Could be that the moisture generated would make it easier to get an arm loose.

   I would like to take this opportunity to admit my shame and horror at my failure to label Ed’s costume on Halloween as “the Silver Age Flash” when I, as a card carrying DC comics fan since the Silver Age (mom taught me to read with comics) should have known that he was the Golden Age Flash!!! Oh the indignity!!! Barry Allen was the Silver Age Flash. I can’t live with this…I’m gonna eat worms!

   As Ken says, Ed is not dressed as Hermes or the FTD florist symbol but is accurate in his depiction of the Silver Age Flash Jay Garrick.

   Maybe its my eyesight but that looks like lizard aliens with a cannon/raygun where the driver sits pointed toward Rita. I thought it might be the gator’s allies about to take their revenge.

   i enjoy the commentary here but got worried when Gweedo failed to comment lately. So I went back to earlier in the week when I remembered seeing him and ….no Gweedo! Concerned I went back over the last 30 days, looking at the commentary and could find no trace of him. Has he been banned? Seems that all trace of him been expunged?

    @Ken in Ohio, that is in one of the “World’ Greatest Detective’s” rides, possibly from the 40’s to early 50’s. So where is the Green Hornet’s Black Beauty or the Arrowmobile?
