One kid closes their eyes and splashes about in the water blind, trying to find the other players. When they shout “Marco!” the other kids have to respond “Polo!” It’s basically “tag” in water where you have to find the others by sound.
Part of the difficulty, though, is that many (perhaps most) of the students who are doing poorly in our school system are the sort for whom home-schooling is not a viable option. Their parents are working multiple jobs, or else they have other problems in their homes and neighborhoods that interfere with their ability to learn, and which also make them inclined to be outside the house as much as possible.
I can see what you are trying to do, but don’t you think it’s a bit problematic to use Islamic Fundamentalism as the reference point for all religious extremism?
