It’s one thing to argue that pregnant women shouldn’t fly (I don’t agree with that, but it’s an argument you could be making). The idea isn’t to make better flight suits so that they can fly in situations where they currently aren’t, its to make better flight suits so that they can be more comfortable (and operate better because of it, with more safety) in situations that they’re already effective in. Massive difference.
That $35/mo isn’t the real cost though – its being heavily subsidized, probably by the government since you mention its “seniors only”. So you’re effectively already on government healthcare, only with more expense than you’d see in other countries due to bouncing payments through insurance companies instead of doing direct reimbursement.
Wait times for specialists are real in the US as well, even with good insurance. Mine (not subsidized because I’m self-employed) runs about $750 a month to cover 90% after the first few thousand and does /not/ get me to the front of the line, it just saves me from bankruptcy if I get really sick or (financially, worse) get some kind of chronic condition.
“Gimmie an O!”
I mean, yes, but also seriously?
And yes, I know that it’s part of roomies.
