Seems to me the copyright notice was issued for the modification that inserted “Trump” instead of “Obama” or “Romney” (take your choice, but I’m inclined to believe I know which the author meant).
It’s just serendipity that the strip can be re-issued with no changes 8 years later.
“You people are so desperate. Posting lies even you do not believe.”
Wow… you really are watching a different movie (Scott Adams reference). Recently, a woman re-posted a meme about the stock market doubling in 4 years under Biden. When I pointed out that the starting price was actually the valley of the Covid panic and that, 2 months earlier, the DOW was 10,000 points higher, resulting in an actual annual increase of 6.7% under Biden, compared to the 20 year average of 10.7% (and 16% under Trump), she got so angry that I never even saw her retort because she deleted the entire post. She’d rather be willfully ignorant than put her belief structure to the test. Ironically, she had also posted that she was tired of the exact behavior that she displayed.
I liked the original stuff. While I’m not normally a fan of puns, the bread-related bon mots (bon bons?) were clever.
