He had a 2 vol. journal, 1 of which exists, and he NEVER mentioned that his father in law was a great dramatist and poet, but gushed over meeting poet Michael Drayton. There is not even a rumor he wrote or received a letter, which if you don’t that to be odd, I certainly do. Imagine what a single letter from the bard would be worth!
