Why is she fixated on the one name? Seems like they were having a good time spit-balling silly, puny names and suddenly she stopped having fun when he suggested Garden of Eatin’. Why is she still on it?
I can understand why Valerie may have struggled with bills sometimes. I certainly understand Phil and Valerie combining finances. I don’t understand how this this a “oh by the way” from Valerie. Had they discussed this? Valerie may not feel as though she lied, but she still failed to tell Phil apparently any of this before. Omission is still deceit.
@Riz917 You’re right! It would have been a inconsiderate and sneaky of Pru to try to hook up with Quill when she knew he was in a relationship with Luann. Still, doesn’t seem like the major betrayal that infidelity is.
Woah. And she was a student counselor? Ever hear about the concept of triangulation? Or just listening? AND if Quill HAD been cheating on Luann, it is QUILL who would have been the jerk. I mean, I wouldn’t start being BFFs with Pru, but I never understood the concept of attacking the “new” person instead of the unfaithful partner.Such a bad idea, even if it hadn’t been formed on an erroneous assumption.
I agree that Luann was unreasonable to finalize plans without checking in with Quill. But I don’t think it’s unreasonable to end a relationship that doesn’t make her happy, or to want to be with someone who fits in her life better (or she in his). She really doesn’t fit in his life. He shouldn’t give up on his goals to be with her. But she shouldn’t put her life on the sidelines, either.
I bet Pru ends up comforting and befriending Luann. I don’t particularly WANT her to, but I can see that happening.I don’t understand Pru, actually. Is she a student? It was implied because she attended the same summer program as Quill, but never explicitly stated. So, she came for the holidays and stayed. Did she transfer? Stop school? Does she have a paying job? Ok, that’s off topic.
Well, Luann DID bring the trip up. Now. Quill didnt mentioned the job opportunity until Luann brought up the trip again. Luann was dumb to finalize the plans without Quill. But Quill obviously just isn’t that into Luann, and should let her go. I don’t think that because he prioritizes opportunities for his career over her, but because when apparently big, exciting opportunities arise he has no compulsion to share that information as soon as possible.
Uh oh. Keep going, Luann. Tell him it’s because the two of you don’t make each other happy. And at the very least, he doesn’t make you happy. And what the h, Quill? Isn’t this what you wanted? An end of the relationship and you don’t have to be the one to end it?
