I grew up on the west coast where there was plenty of fish and I loved it. The secret is: it was FRESH. Only older fish has any smell at all. Fresh fish will take on the odors of what it is cooked with and that’s it. I love me some fresh salmon, and even frozen fish is good if you thaw in icebox and cook over gentle heat with butter and garlic and lots of dill.
Thank goodness I found the new DT; it has all the gore and glory of the original. Bit pricey, but good stories. Sadly they only offered 5 issues in the current subscription. Mad Cave doesn’t say if they will be offering more. Anyway, I get me real DT fix there and come here for comic relief!
Nah, Batster was right. You can see the screen but it’s got those squiggly lines that we used to get on TV’s when there was no channel in the space or it had quit transmitting. In my uni days I would fall asleep over my books and wake up to here that “shhhhhhhhhhh-ing” sound. We now call it white noise, but I used it as “white noise” before that was every popular.
I agree: this is such an obvious time waster that I’d be ashamed to use it. Could just as well have left the dialog balloon empty or even just say she found something and leave it at that…
For once I agree with you! The film crew were geniuses in using all shades of grey and black to get a really nuanced picture; I doubt today’s colorists could do as well. I still love to watch classic black and white films, especially in the 40’s; they were really wonderful, very clear and sharp and you didn’t need the color.
Yes, I realize that, but Georgia has made her signature initials an integral part of her strip. Maybe she just forgot, or some other glitch, but it seems odd…
