Except it’s not expensive. It’s basically a right of passage in that area of the world for women. You want cheap, effective plastic surgery? Go to south america. It’s basically a part of life down there and is a booming business. They actually care about looking good for themselves and others.
Better the “odd” friends than the common “WOOO GET HIGH OFF COCAINE AND DATE RAPED” sorority trope. So it’s a goth with connections and an asian with a ferret. The odd ones are the folks that (unwittingly) help you build character. The common ones are the ones that become absolutely depressingly average people when they turn 30+ and end up being part of the problem.

That “ugly” chick, as per my experience, has developed more personality in both her pinky fingers at the age she’s supposed to be at than most of the “LET’S GET WASTED EVERY OTHER DAY” college population. Not to mention that living with someone of the alternative culture, however short-lived, would be farrrrrrrr more educational to one’s psyche than it would be just living with another average human.
Do things differently, build character. The world needs more strong people. Quite honestly, you’re a freaking bore and I sincerely hope you’re not nearly as conservative a person as you come off as.
