This is the December 30th 1995 strip. In the collection “Planet Doonesbury” (pg. 114) can be found what is probably the right 12-30 1996 strip, introducing Zonker’s and BD’s discussion about medical pot.

This is the December 25th 1995 strip. In the collection “Planet Doonesbury” (pg. 116) the sequence commenced om Dec. 23rd continues with Mike and Kim discussing how J.J. could know their address. This fits in nicely with story line, and is probably the “right” 12-25 1996 strip.

The strip posted above is identical to the one posted for Feb. 5th (and is dated 2-5 as well), so it’s obviously an error. The strip for Feb. 6th most likely is the one published in “Dare to Be Great, Ms. Caucus”, pg. 30, sandwiched between the strips for Feb. 5th and Feb. 7th.The “action” takes place at a press conference with the “czar”.First reporter: Sire, there are many consumers who feel that your energy priority rating system discriminates against the little guy. Can you speak to that?Czar: Yes. It is said that the mighty eagle knows the highest reaches of the mountaintops and the lowly grasshopper is earthbound and small. But cannot the spirit of the grasshopper soar as high as that of the eagle?Second reporter: Bravo! Good answer!First reporter (thinks) What the hell … ?Second reporter: It’s an allegory, man! An allegory!

stiwahoo is right. This IS the Oct. 6 strip (just check the date). According to the paperback collection “What Do We Have for the Witnesses, Johnnie?” in which the strips present are reprinted chronologically, and in which both the Oct. 15 and Oct. 17 strips are present, the strip between these two features the football huddle with B.D. and Zonker.
Zonker: Bad news, gents! These here are academic warning lists from the dean.Zonker: “The following players are ineligible for football due to unsatisfactory mid-term grades.”Zonker: “Ricardo Rose, ‘Spike’ Bonenburger, Jeffy Davis … and B.D.”B.D.: What!? Not possible!Zonker: You’re failing ceramics, man.
I therefore strongly presume that this was the real Oct. 16 strip …
This is the same strip as the one from the succeeding Sunday. One of them must be wrong, and presumably this one is not right, judging from the sequence in “Yukon Ho!” where this strip is presented on pg. 33, while a strip not to be found in GoComics is found on pg. 30. The strip on pg. 30 possibly is the one for 7-19.
