When I was a kid in Tulsa (1957), every saturday I would walk four blocks to the doughnut shop and load up with bags of six. Then I would walk back to my neighborhood and go door to door. When they were all gone, usually after a few hours, I would walk back to the shop to return the money and get. my cut. Baseball cards/bubble gum and a comic book for me at the local convenience store
Look, trying to insult some one who spent most their life defending this country is a fools errand. If you are soft or easily offended, you won’t last five minutes. However, you are welcome to try again, it tickles. :-) By the way, that’s not bragging or " halo polishing." It’s a fact. Just like millions of other Americans, I’m proud of my service. Try as you might, for whatever twisted purpose, you can’t denigrate that.
