Nicki's ZoMcYo Free

Wife, mother, cat wrangler and dog lover. Native Texan who now lives further north than she ever dreamed she would. I enjoy those (very) rare, quiet mornings where it's just me, a cup of coffee, and the comics, with a cat on my lap.

I’m not yet 40 and still write checks. I live in a small town, so the only way to pay sewer and property taxes and trash service is by check. Firewood delivery? Check. Don’t want to pay a convenience fee? Check.

Prayers and purrs for you, Biskits! I hope you have a wonderfully uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.

Hugs and prayers and all the furry boops to you and hubby. I have an aunt and grandmother who have both had this surgery done. Worst part for both was the feeling coming out of anesthesia!Y’all have this!

We started noticing thrift store prices skyrocketing a few years ago when people started to realize they could find some nice stuff for great deals and started selling them on eBay, Craigslist, FB, etc for ridiculous profits. Thrift stores caught on and started raising prices. Now I just have to buy new because it’s practically the same cost as secondhand. It’s frustrating for sure, for those of us who shop secondhand to save money and not resell.

My 2nd or 3rd grade teacher, Mr Wetmore, did something similar.

Thank you for saying this! I think this is a great strip and too many people feel the need to be unnecessarily negative.

My husband will send me off to the store “unsupervised” when he wants tasty snacks he wouldn’t normally purchase. One time, not knowing me shopping alone was code, I came home sans goodies. “But I sent you unsupervised just knowing you’d bring home something we didn’t need, snack-wise!” I think Janis must do the same when it’s time for Halloween candies.
