Is it my imagination, or am I seeing some real thought and creativity happening here? This isn’t part of the “Funky” invasion, and it’s not the same predictable annual Crankshaft routines (garden, barbeque, …). This thread feels like something new and entertaining. Kudos.
On a couple of occasions in the past six months, I could swear I heard my Lexie scratching the door, which is what she did when she needed to be taken outside. I pray for the Rainbow Bridge to be there for her when my time comes.
Some lazy writing going on here. You’re dropping into the company of Batuik and all the heat he gets for redundant Crankshaft arcs. Believe me, you don’t want to be viewed at that level.
When Olivia first took over this strip, I had my doubts as to whether she could carry the torch and make it work. After all these strips, I have to take my hat off to her and say, “Kudos, you’ve done well! Keep it up.”
This “empanada” routine is becoming nauseatingly redundant. It’s starting to resemble the many routines you see in Crankshaft where people just roll their eyes, and think, "Again? C’mon!’ You can tweak it all you want, but it still leads to the same tired ending with Baldo’s finger in his mouth and everyone else upset. I’ve seen enough comments on this arc to know it’s not a popular topic.
When I taught upper elementary, I used a lot of goofy, factices names in my examples. Kids loved it.
