I’m thinking there’s more to the last panel than Covid. My wife and I are at least 30 years older than Arlo and Janice appear to be; getting sick for any reason is not as much fun as it used to be.
I have 15 acres of lawn and trees. Sometimes becoming a lawnless monk really does appeal to me.
