Pig should keep the coins that were given in change. There were two coins. The only way to get forty cents in two coins is two twenty cent pieces. They were minted from 1875 to 1878. Any one of them, in decent shape, would be worth several hundred dollars. Many are worth over a thousand.
Cornell is a much different place in the 27th Century. During the economic crash of the late 22nd Century, Cornell experimented with trade schools. It saved the University; now there are twenty. “Get your Master’s Plumbing at Cornell!” and “I only have my car maintained by a Cornell Mechanic” are two ad lines popularized in the early 25th thru early 26th Centuries.
