Justice is blind. Most often it’s those who are to administer justice who choose to look the other and exercise their personal values and not look at all the facts (true facts) and not what I want or feel.

“Finding the words”? When Mike was writing to Martha he didn’t write page after page of prose professing his love, he just told her what was happening and probably some words about missing her. One would wonder why she’s not writing just to tell him what’s happening to her, her family and their friends. When my wife (girlfriend at the time) went away to college we had just been dating a year, but we still wrote to each weekly. Since these are reruns, the surprise is no longer there. While my wife and I were writing I did come across a definition of a love letter(this is more than fifty years ago), paraphrasing “a love letter is a letter that you don’t know how to start and when you finish you don’t know what you wrote.”Mike should be concern if Martha still wants to continue the friendship. If she doesn’t deem it worthy of investing a time in letter writing, she doesn’t think much of it.

When first married, I would take my wedding band off nightly and whenever I was doing physical work that could have damaged my ring. Now I rarely put it on since I don’t go out to work and my wife knows I’m married and I know I’m married. My father-in-law didn’t wear his band because he almost lost a finger at work when the band got caught when he was jumping off something. My father never had a band, but he knew he was married without it for over fifty years.

Must disagree with you. The final episode of Newhart was the best.
