   In regards to every single story in the Bible I could ask you the same question — were you there? Did you see a god create humans out of dirt? Did you see a ventriloquist make a snake talk? Did you see Jesus walk on water… cast demons into pigs… turn water into wine… rise from the dead? NO. And if you are actually gullible enough to believe that the moon will emit light, and the stars will fall to earth at some time in the future, I pity you. Your indoctrination is clearly showing. You want to believe those things because only in doing so can you justify your superstition and save yourself from an imaginary hell.

   I see no point in arguing with someone whose best response is, “Were you there?” Case closed.

   It would be a far shorter list of where the Bible was scientifically correct (or, more accurately, simply lucky) than where it contradicted science: The moon does not emit light. Stars cannot fall to Earth. Snakes cannot talk. Humans cannot live in the belly of a fish for three days. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. And pointing out that ancient Jews had a ritual of handwashing before eating is a far cry from demonstrating that they understood germ theory. Nice try though.

   The only way the Bible could ever compliment science is to assume the bias that its stories are metaphorical, as a literal interpretation of the Bible clearly contradicts science.

   Yes I can. Unfortunately for you, though, every word you write demonstrates otherwise — that your indoctrination won out over science and open-mindedness. When you write such nonsense as, “Cancer is a result of mankind turning way from God and rejecting the power of his Holy Spirit,” you show that you have no sense of what science is, how it works, and why all your claims are completely unscientific. Just be honest and admit that in your worldview anything that contradicts the Bible must be false, and anyone who says otherwise must “hate God,” or be demonically possessed. I think you actually believe that writing multiple paragraphs of religious gibberish will convince anyone that doesn’t already believe it. And for that, I pity you. Good luck in your journey through ignorance. I hope you make it out some day.
