No disagreement here, I’d say the same is true for cats. Sorry you had to go through the loss so many times though.

One example: My Gizmo was found by me on my porch sick and half dead. I rescued her and now when I say “Dady’s going night-night” She’ll jump to her feet and beeline to the bedroom. She “tucks me in” by doing doughnuts while I pet her after I get comfy and them lays next to me while I go to sleep. She guards me all night from the end of the bed. Shes was the 3rd cat we didn’t want this time around. Dratted cat distribution system!

You’ve either never had one, or if you did, never raised one as their chosen person. Should you ever have the honor to be selected by the cat distribution system PLEASE, take the chance. Cats can be more loyal and loving than even dogs to THEIR person. The trick is that while dogs are good with anyone who’ll feed them, a cat will choose that one person who is preferred above all others, to be that person is just the best experience ever. Everyone else is at best tolerated. We’ve had over 2 dozen cats through the years, trust me on this one thing. :-)

Yeah, when I lost my girl Cricket (Snowshoe cat) after 18 years I had to cry. She had a massive stroke. My other cat Oliver searched for her for weeks afterward. He passed around a year later at about 19 years. They are buried together down behind our creek. That was onwards of 5 years ago and we still miss them and talk about the things they used to do.

I’ve had both dogs and cats. The 2 dogs I had were both awesome, Tiny (black beagle) got me through childhood without losing my sanity. Later I adopted an Irish Setter named Samson who arguably was the greatest dog ever to have lived. (No offense, we all feel that way, right?) BUT, I have to say I am solidly team cat. They give all the love you could hope for without the constant need for active attention. I can watch TV with 1 or 2 cats on my lap or next to me getting the occasional pets without having to pause for potty time, play time, what are you barking at time, well… you get the drift. I have one that puts me to bed at night and sleeps next to me until she knows I’m ready to sleep, then goes to the end of the bed for nightly guard duty. I have another who begs for tummy rubs once or twice a day, and a 3rd who is just happy to have a lap to lay in now and then. Best of all? They entertain ME lol. Blis.

She’s smart. I’ve been working on an 80-year-old rehab house for 4 years and only just got the framing inspection approved yesterday. Long story. Let’s just say had I known before I was too far into it; I’d have bull dozed it and built new. Also, life can get in the way, especially at their age. Heart attacks (wife), sale of company I work for forcing me to travel, and long hours when home. Yeah, no small thing if you do it all yourself. But it’s paid for so, challenge accepted.

Why? the kids have a guest house and a vested interest in getting them there.

Sell now, wait until after the election and if we don’t go full commie building materials will come down when the gas gets turned back on. They could clean up big. Of course, there’s so many people out there that think giving the country away is a good thing it would be a risk. But better to be taxed on actual gains than the imaginary “unrealized gains” they want to get you for if Komiela wins.

Bad case of instant gratification combined with thoughtlessness. Jimmy is showing this in the way it would actually go down. One of the reasons I like this strip. Youi need Get Fuzzy, it’s pointless, tasteless and each plot line usually runs 3-4 days so you can get your fix before your attention span expires.
