it’s funny, back in 1918 there was an article that stated “The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl.” Before then, most kids wore white dresses (even) boys because it was easy to wash and easier for them to go to the bathroom when they were being potty trained. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/arts-culture/when-did-girls-start-wearing-pink-1370097/

growing up kids would throw their old sneaker up on the lines when their parents bought them new shoes. it was often a game to see who could get their shoes up there because the line were real high up.

this reminds me of that rapper T.I. He has bragged about his 15 yr old son having sex, but it recently came out that he takes his 18 yr old daughter to the gyno to make sure she is still a virgin.

Sometimes its bad parenting but other times its the kid falling into a bad crowd. I knew a couple with four sons, three turned out great, but the youngest made a friend who was into pills in high school, he became abusive towards his parents. parents did everything they could, they moved him to another school, put him in therapy, for awhile things turned around for him but as soon as he graduated he left home and went back to his old friends and drugs. they offered to pay for rehab but he never went. he would break into their house and ended up in jail. it’s easy to judge a parent when you’ve never had to be in their shoes, i mean, after raising three older boys i am sure they never thought their youngest would become out of control.

I remember when i was really young wanting to do the laundry because i thought it would make me feel like an adult and when i finally got to my mom also let me do the dishes and mow the yard so i could feel like even more of an adult and i realized after a short time that being an adult sucks.
