I think the point Cowboy was trying to make is that the Supreme Court overturned the rule on bump stocks because the ATF does not have the authority to regulate. If Congress wants to restrict bump stocks, then they can amend the law. This is their responsibility, not the President’s or the ATF’s. The Supreme Court has been consistently ruling in a similar way on separation of powers.
I think both Newsweek and Time wrote short articles on global cooling. So I am not sure calling them urban myths is fair because they were mainstream media at the time. It does support the idea that, then and now, unproven theories from scientists are not science. We do have evidence that the world is getting warmer. The disagreement is why and how we can address it (if that’s even possible)
