   Hungary has the same but they are called nokedli or galuska depending on the area of the country. Sztrapacska is the one with cottage cheese and bacon. There is also Turos Teszta which is noodles with cottage cheese, bacon and then covered with sour cream. YUM The national dish for us, too. Our version of mac & cheese.

   My niece solved the late problem with her kids by making them go to school in their jammies when it was time to leave and they weren’t ready. They cried all the way. Then she made them tell the principal why they were there in their jammies and after perfuse apologies and promises said principal generously allowed them time to go home, change, and quickly come back. She never had another problem with them being ready in time.

   We have a Golden and in his younger years he would do the same. We called him a Golden Stealer. LOL
