Heck my step mother sent me a birthday card one year, that was odd in itself, but inside the card was a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) notice for her and my dad. Great birthday wish mother.
One year for Christmas, when I was about 35, my father brought out some old videos of my mother. It was the first pictures I had ever seen of her, she died when I was born.
Back when I was about 6 years old I had a dream. At the time I was sharing a bedroom with my two brothers while we were in the process of building our new home. I was sleeping on a cot, you know the ones with the open corners. Anyway my dad and brothers were sleeping out at the new construction and I was in the room by myself. One night I woke up for nature call but when I went to get out of the cot I saw a TIGER (yes a darn big tiger) enter my room then jump onto one brothers beds and then onto the other bed. Man I had to go to the bathroom, So anyway the tiger stayed on the second bed for a very long time (few seconds) before jumping down onto the floor where it wandered around and eventually deciding to crawl under my cot, man I really needed to pee. After staying still for a long time (a few seconds) I got to thinking, there is no way that there is a tiger in my room, where did it come from (pretty good for a 6 year old to face his fears), how did it get here…..So after a longer time (a few more seconds), man it was really building I had to go, I pulled myself together and decided to test the waters because again there was no way a tiger to be under the bed. Gathered my nerves and looked down one of those corner holes of the cot and saw the tiger lying there (no way) so I slowly reached into the hole and as I touched the tiger I FELT FUR and I SCREAMED. The cat jumped out from under the bed, yes our darn house cat, and ran out of my room shortly followed by the rest of my family running into the room, I didn’t have to pee any more or at least not at that instant (no I did not wet myself). Just on a side note, the day of this dream we had gone to the Oakland Zoo.
We’ve had a turkey in the freezer for about 8 years now. We were going to cook it for the dogs (but they passed this year ;( ). Now we’re just keeping it in there in the event the power goes out, it will help keep the freezer cold longer.
Well it all started when Kris started a donut shop called Krispy Kream. He began passing out his donuts in a plastic wrapper that kringled so it became known as Kris’s Kringles shortened to Kris Kringle the giver of donuts.
