I knew a lady who worked at a Walmart who also had very long nails. She too decorated them. I always found her to be a very nice person. Her long nails were unusual, though.

I agree. Never go into a test when you are upset. I did that one time and I flunked badly.

I’m surprised that they had not hired a company to do an estate sale. That’s what they do around here.

I like pan dulce with Mexican coffee. Great memories of Oaxaca.

Parenting is a continual learning experience. It includes a lot of errors along the way. Through it all, you hope you learn patience and try to handle things with a sense of humor. Sometimes silliness, ad libbing, and acting like a drama queen (jokingly and making a fool of yourself, of course) makes more of an impression than yelling or fussing.

Shuck-y darn! My open face sandwich doesn’t qualify as a sandwich. I’m working hard to cut my carbs (using one slice of bread) and the Boston court doesn’t even recognize my efforts.

You brought back memories. I think it was before potting soil was readily available. I remember my mother bringing in dirt she had spaded up, putting it in a glass oven proof bowl and basically cooking it. Afterwards, she would let it cool and would use it for planting flowers etc. I guess she wanted to make sure the dirt was clean.

Be glad you didn’t have a sister like I did. When I first started wearing a bra they were somewhat padded. My sister would take them out of the dryer, put them on her head and walk around singing “Mouse-ka-boobs! Mouse-ka-boobs!” Disney was big on TV when I was going through that period of my life (before they had their own channel).

I think we need to look at how our Congressional districts are divided. Congressional districts may need to be set up on physical boundaries. In Texas, the Republicans gerrymandered the Congressional districts to ensure that they would be elected. Representatives districts included parts of large cities and farm areas. In my opinion, Congressmen if they live in urban areas, they should represent the interests of where they live. In areas that are mainly rural and small towns, they should be represented by someone who understands their needs. It should not matter about just the party. The people of the areas deserve better representation for their needs. Politics should be set aside so that those who live in each area would be represented for their communities needs no matter if they are Republican or Democrat.
If I’m not mistaken, I think they are referring to the Neptune Society. Every once and a while, I receive mail from them.
