Once worked for a director who favorite locution was “Can you,” and I read him the riot act. The god-damned fucking question is ‘Would you, or will you….’ and since the answer is always ‘Yes, of course’ you need to think of other things I could do, be polite, and accept service actions. For success here and for your health."

You’d be surprised at how many actual battles and wars have been decided before ever a shot has been fired. What do you think ‘foreign aid’ IS, anyway? For all professionals, the ‘fix’ is in FIRST. Which is the one smart thing Twimpie did politically. You are learning who he bought, and who bought him.

everybody who has experienced him personally seems to say that he isn’t good at ANYTHING except (very) small talk. Oh, and stealing and cheating through lying. No, I don’t like him very much.

we got stupid and lazy….Twimpie is the lazy, stupid folks idea of a smart guy. Just a billionaire’s bubble baby, buying his way. F.Art of the Deal. He’s headed for jail with the rest of his dumb, ignorant family and arrogant monied backers. Hurry up, Mueller. I’ll help any way I can. I’ve done a couple of good busts, I still twist arms and hook ’em up quick and good.

First time in a long life of following and studying US politics I EVER realized that I could make a better US President than Twimpie the Punk.

Go for it. I have some conservative tendencies, including a dose of stubborn stupidity, but I hung out with enough intelligent people, some wealthy, and some very poor and down-trodden types, and it will be a cold day in HELL when I ever vote for a conservative. With all the conservatives I know, EVERYTHING is for sale, and YOU are a THING. I am so glad Lincoln won the Civil War. He should have hung the rebbies at Appamatox, all of them. Our country would be better off, and the whole world, too.

    I’ll read the books.

I never lost the ease of being glad to close my eyes and sleep. When I was young on a hard-scrabble farm, then chopping alfalfa, then stacking 100 lb sacks of crushed rock. In the service I could drop off almost anywhere….in the belly of a 130, or even, a couple of times on my feet carrying a ruck. Later a doc told me it was a ‘condition’ and for awhile I took pills for it. Screw that.

    Well, not a COMPLETE horse.

  9. about 7 years ago on Steve Benson

There is NO comparison between Franken, who was a ‘professional goof’ performing internationally….a tremendoously qualified ‘show-off’….and horny old sneaks prowling malls and bars for nubile young fools. I’ve worked with actors, etc, and found that there’s always a certain percentage of hominids you can direct and control with a CAMERA. So it’s a picture, right? and he’s grinning at doing a stupid action as a PERFORMANCE. That’s different from an old guy demanding secrecy. Wake up. Don’t be fools yourself.

Until a hundred women show up with the receipts for abortions he’s NOT in the same league as ughTrump or Mooreskunk….

He WAS a professional clown, probably always ‘on-stage’. See the difference?

  10. about 7 years ago on Baldo

Thus it begins: Baldo begins to show leadership, which is much much rarer than manager capability. Yes, he needs work on his management skills.
