Is that supposed to be Trump, Barr, and McConnell?
Better work on your drawing skills, because they are far too skinny.

He certainly seems to accidentally retweet white supremacist messages alot.

“We won’t care we’ll believe him!”
This should be the official chant of the MAGAts.

They’ll be perfectly safe. No virus is going to mess with a bunch of Texans carrying assault rifles.

The thing I hate most about Rueben Bolling is that he seems to have an endless supply of great ideas.
If I came up with Chaos-Butterfly-Man I would be damn proud, I would consider it my finest achievement and build a career out of it. I wouldn’t just toss it off in a grab bag of other great ideas.
He just has no idea how insulting it is to those of us who struggle to come up with even mediocre ideas.

It isn’t true of everyone who studies art, but a lot that I know sound like your grandson, in that they loved art from a young age, and knew it was something they wanted to do.
I have always thought that this is an enormous advantage. A lot of people don’t figure out what they want to do until their thirties, and others never figure it out. My mother once told me my brother was jealous of me, not because I had a talent that he didn’t, but because I knew what I wanted to do in my life. Practically it meant that I was moving toward a goal very early, while he was spinning his wheels and going in circles.
The other thing, and I know it is a cliche, but if you do what you love then opportunities open up that you didn’t know existed.

I’d say an art degree is one of the most practical these days. Cultural production is one of the few areas that you don’t have to worry about being replaced by a machine.
I studied fine art, my brother studied biology. He was seen as the practical one. He has never work in the field of science in his entire life, I’ve been making decent money in film and animation for 25 years.
I think your grandson will be okay.

That may be, but there seems to be a lot of innocent, accidental racism coming out of Covington.

“And the Tomahawk Chop has been used at sporting games for decades, so it’s easy to think of clueless teens seeing it as acceptable to go with sports chants.”
And those photos of basketball games at covington where they are painted in blackface taunting black players. How would they know that might be offensive?
In the nineteenth century such people were seen as traitors who fought to defend a heinous institution, tearing down monuments to them seems to be treating them as they would have bern treated at the time.
