Actually the inspiration for the Tsundoku illustration was an old 1966 Aurora model kit series called “Whoozis” and Alfalfa Whoozi did indeed resemble Alfred E. Newman! Believe it!

Lol…not quite Angry! It’s drawn from a bee. It looks like a wasp because the abdomen is stretching and elongating as the bee is pulled from the skin by the tweezers.
The original Mr. Potato Head ALWAYS came with a plastic body, a real potato was only used for the head.
