Not at all contradictory for politicians. Go read Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance and then get back to me.

Trump has not even read his party’s platform, he for da*n sure hasn’t read the Dictators Handbook to Good Governance. He doesn’t know about the “Arms Confiscation Rule.” SCOTUS (aka The Law According to Thomas) know no better. So in a Trump presidency (God forbid) I wouldn’t expect to see a “restriction” of weapons.

I think even making the assumption attaboy reads is a gigantic leap of faith. And, to my knowledge, an audio Cliffs Notes version of Project 2025 is not available so attaboy continues to just pi*s into the wind.

People who do not intend to commit criminal acts should have no problem being trained and licensed to use firearms. No different than my car or airplane. And with those I need to keep proving my proficiency . . . as well I should.

No. But I am forced to pay for the consequences of every single criminal act committed with a gun.

Pretty safe to assue the Founding Fathers didn’t mean every man and woman in the United States should be armed just for the hell of it when they wrote “well regulated Militia” or the phrase would simply not have been nesessary. Rather, they wrote people have the right to bear arms for a specific purpose. What purpose, do you suppose, the 42,697 trigger-pullers had in last year’s death by guns body count?
