Not the immigrant’s hard work; the tax payers’ hard work.

It shows the age of this comic when a child is required to study the Constitution.

I don’t know if this has anything to do with Trump’s Wall or not. But if it is, one could just as easily say, "1. Have no wall. 2. Invite people to freeload off your hard work. 3. Have a war.

I think the problem is that a lot of people have a sentimental attachment to their teddy bears, and this emotion carries over to this representation, as it does to many furry animals. I understand the joke, understand people’s objection, understand other people dissing them for it. For my part, I would rather have not seen this particular comic.

The sarcasm is strong in that one. That’s worth a point in my book.

I’ve always like Peppermint Patty. She has a tomboy aspect to her but I’ve always seen in her the ‘rare gem’ her dad called her.

This is a lesson children seem to learn early – to lie in order to try and escape trouble – and many do not out-grow it in adulthood. Fear of trouble/punishment provokes most people to lie to try and escape what they fear is coming if they tell the truth. Lying also comes easily when people with a conscience feel shame over what they did. In dealing with children it’s important to not punish out of anger, but to be clear why the punishment is happening. In this case it shouldn’t be over the spilled milk but over the lying, and it should be proportional to the event. Not so severe that what the child learns is it isn’t safe to tell the truth. If this is a first time then I’d talk to her and give a warning about lying never helping but makes things worse, and showing it’s safe to come to mommy and tell the truth.

We know it’s a comic; I said similar a few weeks ago, although I didn’t SHOUT!!!!!! or abuse people for having invested a bit into the characters. Yes, it’s a comic, but it’s a successful comic if people begin to care a bit about the characters enough to discuss the scenario and their behaviors. If people discussing these things is irritating to you perhaps you would be happier not viewing them, bless your heart. Have a nice day.

“I’ll hafta tell her the truth. … Unless I can think up something better.”
I think I can see which way this is going to go.
I think this one is particularly insightful and poignant.
