   Yep, I held down the front of my tongue with the depresser while letting the back “rise like an elevator”. My speech therapy was through the school system, so I don’t recall it being consistent.

   I couldn’t say Rs, so 3 years of speech therapy for me as a kid. I still hate tounge depressers to this day.
