Camera technology has evolved through multiple chemical phases since the first (surviving) photograph was taken in 1827, though the physical process how the camera obscura works is basically the same for digital photography as it was for pre-renaissance artists who may have used it as a drawing tool. Capturing, saving, and sharing images has become easier and easier, while it still takes skill and vision to capture artistic treasures!
I’m of Scandinavian descent and we used to celebrate Santa Lucia. I was the youngest and wore the candles to bring out a plate of donuts for breakfast, although my mom only lit the candles briefly to take a picture. I think we then replaced the candles with a tiara.
While working on a second masters degree I used to have nightmares of needing to repeat the 5th grade or all my later schooling would be invalid. And yes, I had to sit in person, at my age, at a small desk with the rest of the class.
