It was kind of a mistake assuming most people would understand that it was a joke. If it makes you feel any better, I thought it was funny.

This is easily the greatest thing anyone has ever produced

No matter what results from this, it’s bound to be more productive than this arguing that won’t get us anywhere.

@Jansen The problem isn’t whether or not you’re a troll, it’s that your comments aren’t relevant in the slightest. Pretty much the only thing everyone in this comment section agrees on is that comments should be related to the comic.

It would seem we learned nothing from the last 3 weeks. Reacting negatively to comments is what started all that arguing in the first place. If you don’t like a comment, flag it and move on. There’s no need to reply to it, all you’re doing is giving the trolls exactly what they want when you do that.

He uses it pretty frequently, usually to complain to Wink Summers about the weather.

Why does he need “professional standpoint” to have an opinion? It’s getting really old seeing so many people simply decide that nobody is allowed to dislike anything about this comic. He’s allowed to have his own opinion, and just because he doesn’t like one strip doesn’t mean he hates the whole strip or that he’s attacking Mr.Peirce. Honestly, it’s just as insulting to an artist to have absolutely no standards for them as it is to criticize their work. I agree with him that Mr.Peirce is capable of much better work than this, and we shouldn’t just accept anything he makes as perfect. Just because you want to praise everything made by him doesn’t mean that others have to, and you should accept his opinion instead of telling him that he needs experience to have an opinion on something.

I think she laughed in the arc where Nate forgot his essay topic
He’s just not interesting anymore. Just like every other aspect of Big Nate, he’s become boring and repetitive. Every time he’s in a strip, it’s exactly the same, “Some kid did (insert mild annoyance), so I (insert violent, over the top retribution).” It ends with Nate laughing nervously, and maybe the next few days he’ll talk to Chester about it more. That’s it. Chester may have been funny once, but having an extremely violent character to shove Nate or other kids in trash cans or lockers isn’t as funny as it used to be, because, like every other part of this comic now, it’s been done so many times.
