Vicious Mockery is a cantrip—what level did Kit use? It makes a lot of difference to the damage. If he burned a 3rd-level slot with it, that’s up to what—24 points of damage? (Yes, clearly Kit is a bard. The chaotic history, the mandolin-playing, the charm—that’s a bard.)
Snowball Taggart got his fortune by worming his way up in the family business, getting close to the lovely Snowbelle. . . then he kidnapped her father, the real brains of the operation, and forced her to marry him, mostly so he could nefariously gain control of the company—and the money! In his defense, he does seem to have been a decent father to the girls, although his insistence on keeping them close implies that there’s a trust setup so Princess and Angora actually own it all. But they don’t know that!
